The Indonesian Government has recognized esports as a competitive sport through the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Indonesian National Sports Committee. While esports is pretty new, competitive gaming is not. As a government-recognized sport, every aspect within the esports milieu must be subject to Indonesia’s prevailing legal order.
